Terms of service
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website and your purchase of goods from The Paleo Foods Company Ltd. Please read them carefully before placing an order. By using our website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

In these Terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean The Paleo Foods Company Ltd. "You" and "your" mean the person placing an order or using our website.
Our online store is powered by Shopify, which provides the platform we use to sell to you. Your purchase contract is with us, not with Shopify.
2. Using our website and your account
By agreeing to these Terms you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. If you allow a child in your care to use our website on a device you own or manage, you accept responsibility for that use.
You may be asked to provide information such as your email address, billing details, payment details and delivery address. You agree that the information you give us is accurate, current and complete, and that you keep it up to date.
You are responsible for keeping your account details secure and for activity that takes place under your account. You may not transfer, sell or share your account with anyone else.
3. Our products
We take care to describe and photograph our products accurately. Colours and appearance may vary slightly depending on the device you use, and packaging may occasionally differ from the images shown.
Product descriptions, recipes and specifications may change without notice. We may discontinue any product, and we may limit the quantity available to any one customer.
4. Allergens and product information
Our products contain nuts and are made in an environment where nuts, seeds and other allergens are handled. Full ingredient and allergen information is shown on each product page and on the pack.
If you have a food allergy or intolerance, please read the ingredient and allergen information carefully before ordering and before eating. If you are unsure, contact us at hello@paleofoodscompany.co.uk before you buy.
Information on our website is provided for general information only and is not medical or dietary advice. If you have a medical condition or specific dietary requirements, please speak to a qualified professional.
5. Orders
When you place an order you are making an offer to buy. Your order is accepted when we dispatch the goods, and a contract between us is formed at that point.
We may refuse or cancel an order before dispatch, for example if a product is unavailable, if there is an error in the price or description, or if we suspect fraudulent use. If we do, we will contact you using the details you provided and refund any payment taken in full.
Please check your order carefully before submitting it. Once an order has been accepted we may not be able to change or cancel it before dispatch, though we will always try.
Our products are sold for personal or household use. They are not sold for commercial resale. If you are interested in stocking our products, please contact us directly.
6. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. Delivery charges are shown separately at checkout before you pay.
Prices, discounts and promotions may change at any time. The price you pay is the price shown at the time you place your order, as confirmed in your order confirmation email.
Payment is taken in full at the time of ordering, unless you are buying on a subscription (see section 8). We accept the payment methods shown at checkout.
If a promotion has its own terms and those terms conflict with these Terms, the promotion terms apply to that promotion.
By submitting payment details you confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method and that the details you have given are correct.
7. Delivery
- We currently deliver within the United Kingdom only.
- All UK orders are sent via Royal Mail 48-hour tracked delivery.
- Orders placed over the weekend are dispatched the following Monday.
- Delivery costs and estimated timescales are shown at checkout.
Delivery times are estimates. We aim to dispatch promptly but we are not responsible for delays caused by the carrier or by events outside our reasonable control. Unless we agree otherwise, we will deliver your order within 30 days of the day your order is accepted.
Your order remains our responsibility until it is delivered to the address you gave us. If your parcel is lost or damaged in transit, contact us and we will put it right.

8. Subscriptions and Build Your Own Box
Some products can be bought as a subscription. When you subscribe you will receive repeat deliveries at the frequency you choose, and your saved payment method will be charged automatically for each delivery.
You can skip, pause, amend or cancel your subscription at any time through your subscription account. There is no minimum term and no cancellation fee.
Changes need to be made before the cut-off point for your next delivery. Full details, including the cut-off, are set out in our cancellation policy (see below).
9. Cancellations, returns and refunds
Because our products are food, they are sealed for hygiene and food safety reasons. Once a product has been opened or unsealed, it cannot be returned for a refund unless it is faulty.
Subject to that, you may cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it. Products must be unopened, unused and in their original packaging. To cancel, email hello@paleofoodscompany.co.uk with your order number.
Refunds are processed within 14 days of us receiving the returned goods. Full details are in our returns policy.
10. Faulty or incorrect goods
If your order arrives faulty, damaged or incorrect, contact us within 14 days of delivery at hello@paleofoodscompany.co.uk with your order number and, where possible, a photograph.
We will replace the goods or issue a full refund, including any delivery charges you paid. This is in addition to your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which are not affected by these Terms.
11. Intellectual property
All content on our website, including text, images, photography, illustration, video, graphics, logos and their selection and arrangement, is owned by or licensed to The Paleo Foods Company Ltd and is protected by copyright, trade mark and other intellectual property laws.
You may use our website for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, republish, distribute, store or transmit any of our content without our prior written consent.
Our name, logo, mammoth mark, product names and slogans are our trade marks. You may not use them without our written permission. Shopify's name and logo are trade marks of Shopify. All other trade marks belong to their respective owners.
12. Reviews and feedback
If you submit a review, suggestion, idea or other content to us, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, publish and display it, including for marketing purposes.
You confirm that any content you submit is your own honest opinion, that you have the right to submit it, and that you have told us about any payment, free product or other incentive you received in connection with it.
Your content must not be unlawful, abusive, offensive, misleading or defamatory, must not infringe anyone else's rights, and must not contain malicious code. You must not submit content under a false identity. We may remove content that breaches these Terms, but we are not obliged to monitor it.
13. Errors and omissions
Occasionally our website may contain typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions relating to product descriptions, pricing, promotions, delivery charges or availability. We may correct these and may change or cancel an order placed on incorrect information, including after you have submitted it. If we cancel on that basis, we will refund you in full.
14. Third-party tools and links
Our website uses tools and services provided by third parties, and may link to third-party websites. We do not control these and we are not responsible for their content, accuracy or availability.
If you access a third-party site or service, you do so at your own risk and subject to that third party's own terms and privacy policy. Questions or complaints about third-party products and services should be directed to that third party.
15. Our relationship with Shopify
Our store is powered by Shopify, which provides the platform that enables us to sell to you. Any purchase you make is made directly with The Paleo Foods Company Ltd. Shopify is not responsible for any aspect of a sale between you and us, including any loss or damage resulting from the products you buy.
16. Privacy and data protection
Your privacy matters to us. Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it and what your rights are under UK data protection law.
Because our website is hosted by Shopify, Shopify also processes information about your use of the site in order to provide the platform. Some information may be transferred outside the UK. See our Privacy Policy and Shopify's Privacy Policy for details.
17. Acceptable use
You may use our website for lawful purposes only. You must not use it:
- For any unlawful, fraudulent or malicious purpose
- To breach any law or regulation
- To infringe our intellectual property rights or those of anyone else
- To harass, abuse, threaten or defame our staff or any other person
- To send spam, junk mail or unsolicited promotional material
- To impersonate any other person or organisation
- To transmit viruses or other harmful code
- To collect or track other people's personal information
- To copy, resell or exploit any part of our website
- To use robots, scrapers, data extraction tools or automated processes to access the site, except as permitted in section 18
- To bypass or interfere with any security or access-control measure we use
We may suspend or terminate your access to our website if we reasonably believe you have breached this section.
18. Automated agents
This section applies if you use, enable or deploy an automated agent to access or interact with our website. An "agent" means software that takes autonomous or semi-autonomous action on behalf of a person, without direct supervision.
Agents may only access our website if they identify themselves at all times and comply with the requirements below, and only if we have not asked them to stop. We may limit, including by technical means, whether and how any agent accesses our website.
Agents must:
- Identify themselves in every request by including "Agent/[agent name]" in the user agent string
- Not conceal that the activity comes from an agent, including by mimicking human behaviour or circumventing CAPTCHAs and similar measures
- Answer truthfully when asked whether the interaction is automated
- Not circumvent any measure we use to block, limit or control agent access
19. Our liability to you
We do not exclude or limit our liability to you in any way where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and for breach of your legal rights in relation to the products, including the right to receive goods that are as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose.
Subject to the above, we are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable at the time the contract was made, or for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity. We supply our products for domestic and private use.
Subject to the above, our total liability in connection with any order is limited to the price you paid for that order.
Information on our website is provided for general information only. We do not warrant that our website will be uninterrupted, error-free or free from viruses, and we are not liable for loss or damage caused by a distributed denial-of-service attack or other harmful material that infects your device through your use of our website.
20. Events outside our control
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where that failure or delay results from an event outside our reasonable control, including carrier disruption, extreme weather, industrial action, failure of utilities or public networks, or ingredient supply failure. If such an event occurs we will contact you and, where the delay is substantial, you may cancel your order and receive a full refund.
21. Termination
We may end this agreement or suspend your access to our website at any time if you breach these Terms. You remain liable for any amounts owed up to that point.
Sections relating to intellectual property, reviews and feedback, our liability, privacy, governing law, and any other provision that by its nature should continue, will survive termination.
22. General
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in force.
If we do not enforce a right under these Terms, that does not mean we have waived it.
These Terms, together with the policies referred to in them, form the entire agreement between us in relation to your use of our website and your order.
You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written consent. We may transfer our rights and obligations to another organisation, and we will tell you if we do.
The headings in these Terms are for convenience only and do not affect their interpretation.
23. Complaints
If something has gone wrong, please contact us first at hello@paleofoodscompany.co.uk and we will do our best to resolve it. We aim to respond to all complaints within 3 working days.
24. Changes to these Terms
You can review the current version of these Terms on this page at any time. We may update them from time to time, and the updated version applies to orders placed after it is posted. We will tell you about any significant changes.
25. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute may be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live.
